Greetings All,
Its been just another week at AusCERT with plenty of vulnerabilities being announced. Of particular note was an announcement by Adobe regarding updates for Acrobat and Reader, correcting potential administrator compromise, denial of service and unauthorised access vulnerabilities.
Mozilla also announced new versions of Firefox, Thunderbird and Seamonkey, which corrected a number of vulnerabilities, such as possible execution of arbitrary code, denial of service and cross-site scripting.
Cisco released a number of updates for various products this week, including Cisco Security Agent, Cisco Firewall Services Module, and Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances - which suffered from various vulnerabilities, with impacts including execution of arbitrary code, unauthorised access and denial of service.
It seems that MIT's implementation of kerberos was also found to be vulnerable to a denial of service, so MIT released version 1.7 to correct this.
Have a great weekend,
Jonathan
